This is the famous and unofficial 1st Special Forces Operationnal Detachement - Delta, better known as "Delta Force".

Officially the Delta Force dates back to 1977, it has been created by the Col. Charles Beckwith influenced by the British SAS. The Delta Force main task is counter terrorism (CT). They are recruited according mainly to mental skills. The Delta Force physical entry test is not the hardest one in the US armies but the mentally tougher. That is why most of members of the Delta Force are recruited among the corps submitted to high mental difficulties like the "Green Berets".

Most of time the Delta Force operates in a CQB situation deep behind enemy lines. Many missions are performed by them, their operating mode can be compared to the SWAT: fast action. That is why the Delta members are equipped with very the lastest mlilitary technologies.

SOTF Recruiting: we recruit our members from the 75th Rangers Regiment only after the permition of both the 75th Ranger's OIC (Officer In Charge) and the 1st SFOD-D OIC. Then the member will have to perform the 1st SFOD-D training course program (which can be asked to the OIC or NCOIC).
